I see beauty all around me. I see it when I look out of my windows, in the trees, the sky, and even in the smallest details of life. But most importantly, I see beauty in the people around me: my parents, my friends, and especially my sisters.
Sisters are a blessing that most don’t appreciate until too late. I find best friends, soulmates, and countless sources of inspiration in each of them every day. We have all helped each other when no one else could. We understand each other in a way that no one else can. And we are always there for each other when no one else is. Sisterhood is a special bond that only some people are blessed with. Anyone who has a sister knows that there are rough patches, but there is always love.
As I thought about a name for this blog, I began to reflect on my surroundings. I wanted to find something meaningful, beautiful, and that spoke to people. I realized that I’ve been surrounded by love all my life—not just from my beautiful parents, but also from the wonderful sisters they gave me. I always know who to call when I need to talk. I always know who will show up when I need them to. And I know that they will be with me all my life, in so many ways.
Their love is unconditional, unwavering, and timeless. I look at them and see beauty in their hearts. I look at my parents and see beauty in their strength, wisdom, and endless support. You are always surrounded by beauty whether you realize it or not.
Not everyone has sisters, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find sisterhood in your life. Sometimes, sisters can be found in friends who become family. I was also blessed to find that person too. My best friend has given me more than I feel I’ve been able to give in return. I have a love for her similar to that of a sister, but not quite. What I feel for her is profound gratitude. She has the choice to leave, but she chooses to stay, which demonstrates a unique kind of commitment and love.
However, I find the most beauty in my mother. A mother’s love is a love that cannot be explained in words. It is more than beauty; it’s a comfort. It’s like coming home after a long vacation to your own bed. You know and trust that you will find sanctuary and support there. Nothing can compare to a mother’s beauty and all that she offers, especially to her daughters. My sisters and I are all different versions of her, and we all see her as our number one role model. She is part of all our beauty.
I look around me and see constant love and acceptance. I believe I would not be who I am today without their influence and unconditional love. They are the ones who help me find my own beauty. Beauty exists in all of us and all around us, just waiting to be noticed.
